The Solid Wooden Armchair by Lema Tarsia is a rigorous lounge chair but at the same time delicate, characterized by the shaped forms of the solid wood frame, whose profile outlines legs and armrest to support the defined volumes of the seat and backrest cushion. A proposal with a clean character but one that is very comfortable, thanks to the padding of the cushions with differentiated densities and to the slight inclination of the armrests that accompanies the body’s posture. Interpreting traditional techniques with a completely contemporary design key, in the sophisticated processing of solid wood, Tarsia represents a new homage to the Italian art of cabinetry and to the artisanal origins of Lema, as is revealed by the name itself: from the Arabic word, tarsi, with the meaning of the creation of works using the connection of shaped elements in wood.
