Toan Nguyen graduated from ENSCI – Les Ateliers in Paris in 1995, before pursuing his training in Barcelona under Alberto Lievore. After moving to Milan in 1996, he began a decade-long collaboration with Antonio Citterio, where he served as Head of the Design Department and Partner, co-signing numerous collections for leading international design companies.

In 2009, he founded his own studio in Milan, initiating a series of successful collaborations with prestigious brands in Europe, North America, and Asia. His work spans furniture, lighting, ceramics, and technology, blending refined craftsmanship with industrial precision.

For Nguyen, design is a discipline intrinsically tied to the object and its tangible connection with the user. His approach prioritizes clarity of form, functionality, and optimized production processes — always paired with a deep respect for material sensuality and emotional resonance.

Among his numerous collaborations, his creative partnership with Karl Lagerfeld Maison stands out as a testament to his ability to merge contemporary elegance with timeless sophistication. Nguyen’s vision perfectly complemented the maison’s distinct aesthetic, resulting in pieces that embody both rigor and poetry.
